As we continue to expand our product offerings and enhance user experiences, we are seeking a dynamic Android Lead to join our team. In this role, you'll take charge of shaping and enhancing our Android application, playing a pivotal role in our product development.

Reporting to the Director of R&D, the Android Lead will be responsible for leading the development of our Android application. You will participate in the full product development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and taking ownership of technical solutions and code quality.
What You’ll Do
- Participate in the full product development lifecycle, working with the product team to plan, design, and develop new features and technical solutions for our Android application.
- Write maintainable and testable code, adhering to best practices and design patterns.
- Participate in developing and maintaining the CI/CD pipeline to ensure efficient and reliable code deployment.
- Conduct and actively participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and provide mentorship to team members.
- Mentor Junior Developers, sharing your expertise and helping them grow in their roles.
- Take pride and ownership of the Android application, driving its development and evolution.
- Design and propose technical solutions to address complex challenges and enhance our Android app's functionality.
What You’ll Bring
- A computer science university degree, college diploma in computer science, or relevant experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in developing and publishing Android applications.
- Proficiency with source control systems, particularly Git.
- Familiarity with standard Android best practices and software design patterns such as MVP and MVVM.
- Proficient with Kotlin, Java, Android Studio, RxJava, Coroutines, Room Persistence Library, Retrofit, and Junit.
- A passion for software development and a strong interest in problem-solving.
- Proven leadership skills as a hands-on technical team leader.
Experience Plus
- A keen eye for design, with the ability to contribute to the aesthetic aspects of our Android app.
- Experience with Express, Backend Development, and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with technologies like PostgreSQL, Redis, and WebSockets.
