The opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure Maintenance, the Audio Visual Analyst is primarily responsible for providing maintenance and support to existing systems. The incumbent also analyzes, designs, develops and implements new and/or modified solutions for clients and conducts quality assurance activities. The area of focus for this position is: Audio Visual.
The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree, or completion of a community college diploma (minimum two years) in electronics technology, is required.
- Extron certifications CTS and CTI are required.
- Dante certification is an asset.
- Three years directly related job experience in audio visual equipment maintenance is required while maintaining the following minimum requirements:
- One year of experience working in infrastructure as a network sysadmin performing investigation, configuration, design, development, maintenance and support, with enterprise level systems within a large business environment is required.
- One year of experience with Microsoft Windows-based products and services (AD), Windows Server operating systems (Windows 2016, 2019, 2022), and enterprise level Microsoft platform-based solutions in higher education or large business environments is required.
- AV systems implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and design experience is required.
- Experience with TCP/IP fundamentals and understanding of common network protocols including: TCP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, DNS, SIP, RTP is required.
- Demonstrated network troubleshooting skills including the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network configuration, hardware or software system problems is required.
- Extron product experience is required.
- Audio tech experience is an asset.
- Cabling experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of scripting using Python, Powershell or other scripting platform is an asset.
- ITIL experience is an asset.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Must be self-motivated and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated workload organization and prioritization skills required.
- Demonstrated teamwork/collaboration skills required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with users of varying levels of technical expertise is required.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software and system problems is required.
- Ability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
