Back-End Developer

Remote (Canada) Vancouver, BC

Role..

Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will build out features for our internal catalog management tool. You will be expected to write tests, fix bugs, deploy code, and bring your intuition to develop features that help distribute and payout thousands of artists. You will be working on the Google Cloud Platform and utilizing big-scale tools such as BigQuery, relation SQL databases, NATS, etc. Our Back-End Developer will play a key part in developing the future of our software.


What you'll do..

  • Work with the team to build new features involving the back-end technologies: Golang, web technologies, databases, etc.
  • Write software test (unit, end to end, and integration)
  • Perform dev ops and writing continuous integration & deployment environments in Google Cloud Platform
  • Write code documentation
  • Investigate software bugs and write patches
  • Deploy software updates
  • On-call rotation


What you bring..

  • 5+ years minimum experience:
  • Using Golang or a similar language (Java, C/C++)
  • Writing web software
  • Using Linux and command line tools
  • Writing technical documentation
  • Team player and works well in tight-nit environment
  • Experience in working on monolithic software projects
  • Experience in using Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.)
