With the need to build new back-end foundation for future products and features, we are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Backend Software Engineer to join the team.
- MongoDB
- PostgreSQL
- Node
- APIs
- Ruby on Rails
- Git
Problems you will solve
- To engineer new back-end services, develop new ideas and solve various challenging problems.
Must have skills
- Expertise in building backend applications, APIs as well as other backend services
- Experienced with web frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and Express
- Proficient in Ruby, NodeJS, or other server-side programming languages
- Strong understanding of when to use data-stores such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis
- Update consistently with new backend trends, methodologies and apply best practices
- Experienced with designing data models and optimizing them to be easy to understand, query and update
- Strong communicator and collaborator
Nice to have skills
- Knowledgeable of building browser extensions or user scripts
- Proficient in deep third-party API integrations (eg. GitHub)
