The Fitting Room is building 3D deep tech, infrastructure and network to make custom-fit, Made-To-Order (MTO) apparel affordable and accessible to the everyday shopper, while blurring the lines between physical and digital apparel shopping.
We have three ultimate goals:
- Create an immersive social virtual shopping experience for that transcends real life apparel shopping
- Make standard sizing obsolete
- Clean up fashion (by eliminating the 40% overproduction and the 50% online return rates)
As the first step towards this, we have built a solution that allows consumers to create a hyper-realistic avatar with just their smartphone, and then be able to try-on photorealistic custom-fit garments in close to real time. This solution will massively lower online returns and will eliminate overproduction for partner brands. Our level of photorealism is already UNCANNY. And we are just getting started!
We’re on the look-out for an out-of-the box thinker who will join our team as the backend Go engineer.
You will
- Build, maintain and grow the platform. Be part of initial development, support and build features to the existing platform.
- Build new product experiences and scale the business. Solve challenges that are part of scaling and find innovative ways to solve them.
- Learn new technologies and build new products with complete end-to-end ownership.
- Uphold our engineering standards and bring consistency to our codebases and processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to create consumer-facing products.
- Handle added responsibilities and be part of a growing team.
- Work in a team with quick turnaround time and make decisions regarding implementation with minimal direction.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
You will be a great fit for this role if you
- Have more than 5 years of experience working in backend development.
- Have a deep understanding of Go, Docker, Kubernetes, and Oracle Cloud (or another cloud provider).
- Are able to effectively implement, review, fix, test, and ship code.
- Thrive in highly collaborative environment involving multiple stakeholders.
- Take pride in working on products to end-to-end success involving a variety of technologies and systems.
- Enjoy being an integral part of a growing team and have affinity towards working in a start-up environment.
