Business Analyst

$73,855.42 - $84,134.34 annually, plus 6.6% Temporary Market Adjustment (effective April 9, 2023)

The BC Government is committed to a major reform of health systems delivery by significantly improving quality and access to care, population health, patient and clinician experience and overall system efficiency. Digitization of health services is a critical component of this transformation journey enabling new ways to deliver services efficiently and effectively, allowing patients to both self-manage and be more involved as a partner in their own care, and for providers and patients to be connected in real time. The Health Sector IMIT Division leads this significant transformation initiative with a Digital Health Strategy providing oversight, governance, legislative and policy guidance as well as digital business solutions in a collaborative relationship with internal ministry and external health sector partners. The division works to advance digital health and system transformation to ensure the health system meets the health and wellness needs of all people in BC.

The Business Analyst will provide technology planning, business analysis, systems design and client support services. They also provide technical and project management expertise for multiple, concurrent, medium sized projects from initiation to completion.

Qualifications for this role include:

• Degree, diploma, certification in the computer science field or equivalent, AND
• 1 year of experience providing business analysis, business consulting, and/or project management for Information Technology or Information Management projects with complex business processes.

Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate experience in one (1) or more of the following digital delivery areas such as:

• Agile development, software architecture, software development lifecycle, user engagement, change management, incident management, technology management, IT security, OR other related experiences.
