Business Analyst

WCG’s Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Assistance Program (RSVP) is delivered on behalf of Veterans Affairs Canada and in partnership with Lifemark Health Group. As the Business Analyst, you’re responsible for requirements definition, business process definition, business process analysis and design, and functional design. The Business Analyst is also responsible for training, facilitation and documentation, ensuring that all IT applications are developed according to the specifications of Veterans Affairs Canada.

What you’ll do

• Ensures the system integrates effectively with outside applications Liaises with key internal and external stakeholders
• Maps out dependencies between different user stories in the various portals, and how they connect to user stories in other applications
• Documents business processes and business and functional requirements
• Works with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure the database is set up correctly and that data smoothly integrates with our analytical tools (Power BI, etc.)
• Facilitates user acceptance testing with business stakeholders
• Clearly communicates system requirements to developers and acts as the main point of contact for any questions

What you bring

• A degree or diploma in technology, engineering, or another technical field, and/or equivalent experience
• Two (2)+ years demonstrated experience in the delivery and maintenance of IT systems
• Experience working with developers, business analysts, UX/UI designers, and other IT professionals
• CSPO Scrum Product Owner Certification or another business analyst certificate
• Experience writing user stories and testing requirements
• Strong command of Jira
• Employment conditional on obtaining federal Reliability Status security clearance
