Business Analyst
$78,729.94 - $ 89,687.19 annually which includes a 6.6% Temporary Market Adjustment*
The Ministry of Health’s Health Benefits Digital Office (HBDO) partners with Heath Insurance BC (HIBC) business areas to develop business strategies for PharmaCare and Medical Service Plan Claims programs; provides portfolio management; and oversees IT projects and operations for services delivered under Alternative Service Delivery contracts.
The Business Analyst works collaboratively with the HBDO team, the HIBC service provider, Ministry of Health program areas, and other partners as required in project planning and execution.
Qualifications for this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer science field and 2 years of related experience; OR
- Diploma in a computer science field and 3 years related experience; OR
- Certificate or coursework in a computer science field and 4 years related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related experience must include the following:
- Experience providing business analysis related to integrated custom applications with complex business processes, preferably in a Microsoft environment.
- Experience with the installation, configuration, maintenance and problem resolution of hardware, software, operating systems and network components.
- Experience using change management processes and project management methodologies.
- Experience with application design and development life cycle; and all aspects of Information Technology.
