Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team in Calgary. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role at a software company, demonstrating proficiency in outbound email and cold calling to schedule meetings for an Account Executive. As a BDR, you will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and qualify potential clients through various channels, including outbound email campaigns, cold calls, and networking events.
  • Sales Outreach: Initiate contact with prospective clients, present the value proposition of Goodlawyer, and effectively communicate our unique offerings.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with potential clients, understanding their legal needs and positioning Goodlawyer as the solution.
  • Achieve Targets: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly booking targets by effectively managing and prioritizing leads in the sales pipeline.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to optimize lead generation strategies and contribute to overall business development initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-2 years of proven success in a business development or sales role, preferably within a software company.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to share value propositions in a clear and concise manner. Professional writing is required.
  • Sales Techniques: Demonstrated experience in outbound email campaigns, cold calling, and other lead generation strategies.
  • Self-Motivated: A self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently to achieve goals.
  • Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
  • Monthly Bonus: Performance-based monthly bonus for achieving and exceeding meeting targets.
