Cloud Administrator

Remote (Canada)

We’re looking for a Cloud Administrator to join our growing SaaS Operations. The SaaS Operations team is responsible for building and maintaining the cloud platform on which our SaaS offerings sit. We build, manage, and optimize our cloud ecosystem with the goal of providing a safe, secure, transparent, and easy to operate place for our software to run, now and into the future.

Our ideal candidate is a software administrator who likes to play in the clouds or a cloud administrator who has a passion for software development. You have your own Git projects and like to experiment with ideas that solve real problems.

This is not a DevOps role. While you may work on some devops solutions, this role is focused on improving the security and maintainability of our cloud environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Using tools like Sophos MTR and Azure Security Center, remediating and anticipating the findings to improve our security posture.
  • building, and rebuilding, key infrastructure to ensure that we follow best practices
  • improving stability and reliability of our cloud ecosystem
  • production support
  • Windows server administration- Making sure we have the right GPOs in place.
  • Ensuring we are in compliance with our organizational policies and procedures.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Exceptional teamwork. You have to like to work with team members and have worked in a dev shop.
  • Hands on experience maintaining and supporting an enterprise production public cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with Azure network security and an in-depth knowledge of architecture and various security technologies.

Things that would be helpful:

  • Experiencing implementing automated security monitoring and remediation solutions
  • Some Azure certifications
  • Some experience coaching teams through defining great non-functional requirements
  • Experience working in a Windows & Linux environment, emphasis on Windows
  • You have worked in a Scrum or KANBAN environment
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation, we use Terraform, so extra bonus there.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Powershell & Bash)
