 Reporting to the Manager, Data Management, this position is responsible for the integration of data from various sources. The Data Management Analyst will assist users, and other stakeholders, by extracting and interpreting data from various systems, providing management reports and statistics to enable business decision making. By using various automated data mining, data analysis/interpretation and ETL methods, the Data Management Analyst will extract, analyze, and evaluate information that is stored across various systems in order to provide support for decision making as well as support for various business processes. The Data Management Analyst will work closely with pension system stakeholders to evaluate business requirements from a data perspective to support enhancements to the pension administration system as well as other systems that interface with it. The Data Management Analyst brings expertise in automated methods of data analysis using various enterprise systems.

 

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Experience in Integration with external data sources including Oracle databases, Flat files, XML files, Excel files, various APIs.
  • Good comprehension of financial data.
  • Expert knowledge of Structured Query Language including experience using Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server database.
  • Experience in at least one high level (either 3GL or 4GL) programming language.
  • Experience using various automated ETL methods including scripting and programming familiarity.
  • Proficiency in the use of various Business Intelligence tools.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience with the following programming languages / tools is desirable: Oracle, Python, Informatica Cloud and/or Power BI.

 

A University or College Degree in related field(s), with good communication skills and expertise in data automation methods and data analysis using various business systems methodologies, along with at least (5) years of proven experience in a similar role help to make you an ideal candidate.

 

Once here you will:

  • Analyse data from different sources in various formats, gathers requirements, develops strategies and executes applications to integrate data from various systems and formats.
  • Provide data analytics to users ensuring that data is properly interpreted.
  • Extract information from data management systems as required by users or external consultants and regulatory bodies.
  • Respond to queries regarding data issues.
  • Maintain documentation and creates processes for bulk data operations such as batch processing.
  • Develop and executes programs to ensure that data integrity and quality is maintained.
  • Uses various systems and tools, developed, or purchased, to create a comprehensive view of the organization’s data assets.
  • Design and executes data queries to support year-end processes such as COLA, LTD PA and Annual Statements.
  • Keep up to date on various methods and technologies related to data management.
