iOS Developer (Remote, Canada)

We're looking for an enthusiastic and highly capable iOS Developer to join our Mobile Team. 


This is a full-time position and can be based anywhere in Canada (the team is based in Vancouver, BC and all currently working from home). Please note that we can only consider candidates who reside in Canada with valid working status. 


Day to day you will be writing code for new features, maintaining our Product codebase and our automation pipeline through CI/CD, and building products that can be customized to meet the needs of some of our largest clients.

What you'll do

  • Design and build highly customizable applications for the iOS platform in Swift and/or Objective C
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Design and refactor legacy code into reusable modular components
  • Maintain and upgrade the codebase to latest frameworks
  • Document custom features in project wikis and code
  • Ability to read/review Android / Kotlin code is a plus to have
  • Work on timely bug fixing across various projects in Delivery or Product
  • Hands on with planning, estimating, technical architecture diagrams, workflow, performance optimization, app security and submissions issues


What you'll bring

  • BSc. in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience
  • 2 - 3 years experience working with iOS, with at least 1+ years in Swift
  • Experience with the following technologies preferred: Swift, RxSwift, Objective C, SQL, HTTP, JSON,
  • Experience with the following tools preferred: Carthage, Charles Proxy, Postman, Instruments, JIRA, Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, 
  • Exposure working in an Agile team environment
  • Passion for mobile technology and using apps, stays up to date with latest iOS/Swift improvements
  • Built or participated in the creation of great apps on the App Store
  • Experience working with Android development using Android Studio a plus, but not essential 
  • Ability to understand and translate business requirements and technical specifications
  • Possess analytical and troubleshooting skills with technical capability
  • Ability and desire to share your knowledge and help grow the team 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Focus on quality, deadlines and deliverables
  • Phenomenal interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication skills
  • Solid sense of personal accountability; contributes beyond job role and responsibilities
  • Have a focus on continual learning
