GroupBy was founded in 2013 with the vision of creating a fundamentally better eCommerce user experience. Our dynamic team has helped pioneer innovative cloud-based tools designed to enhance search relevancy, recommendations, merchandizing, content management, SEO and data analytics. Recognized as one of Canada’s Companies-to-watch by Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Awards, we were born from a team that came out of Endeca, a Boston-based search pioneer that was acquired by Oracle in 2011.

We set out to create the next-generation of search experience tools within the eCommerce industry. The initial iteration began with a partnership with Google Enterprise, a post cursor to Google Commerce Search, and the results proved successful over a three year period as the company gained traction within the market. In 2017, in an effort to expand its scope and reach of offerings, we acquired Texas-based EdgeCase, product catalog data normalization and enrichment, to expand its suite of e-commerce tools. Today, GroupBy is recognized for its success enhancing large-scale, complex B2B and B2C eCommerce configurations.
