The position is responsible for Learning Environment (LE) administration as well as analysis, design and deployment of improvements and new technologies. The LE is an enterprise level system comprised of multiple software products that together form the learning platform at Sheridan. This includes the Learning Management System (SLATE) and all associated and integrated learning technologies. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the LE is operational on a 24 X 7 basis, monitoring performance, identifying problems, troubleshooting, planning, and implementing product enhancements and deploying service and application packs. 

 

What You’ll be Doing


  • Analyzing and design new Learning Environment (LE) technology, integration, or solution;
  • Monitor system performance and availability and initiate activities to resolve performance issues.
  • Designing, developing, testing, and implementing the overall system improvements related to the LE;
  • Performing the role of project manager to successfully integrate new technology into the existing LE;
  • Providing advice and subject matter expertise on the LE;
  • Performing all over arching configuration and administration of the LE;
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

You enjoy balancing many different tasks and can prioritize multiple projects while staying organized and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

 

The candidate will also meet the following qualifications: 


  • 3 year diploma/degree in computer science, computer programming, systems design and analysis or related field of study.
  • 3 years experience working with multiple enterprise level software applications, preferably in an educational institution, in a role that requires significant technical expertise, including administration, analysis, design, system integration, quality assurance, collaboration, communication and customer service (or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience).

Other Details


Campus Location:  Trafalgar (may be assigned activities at any Sheridan campus) once normal campus operations resume. This position is currently working remotely.

Hiring Range: $37.90 - $43.94

Hours: 37.5 

Hours/Week:  8:30am – 5:00pm
