The Shaw Group is seeking its first Chief Information Officer who will engage with the senior leadership team to transform and modernize their systems and technology to enable business growth and expansion. The CIO will be responsible for defining the roadmap for technological modernization and delivering transformational IT projects across all divisions. Reporting to the CFO, the CIO will be a key contributor to the company’s planning process and will be responsible for IT operations and their impact on broader business strategy and goals. It is critical for the CIO to build strong and productive relationships with all business unit leaders, acting as a true partner and making IT a business enabler.  

 

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in progressive roles at complex organizations, exceptional project management skills and experience implementing best in class systems. As the CIO you will lead by example by being a hands-on and practical leader who collaborates well, creates a positive work environment for all, makes sound decisions and maintains a high degree of accountability for achieving results.  You will direct the design, planning, implementation and maintenance of the infrastructure that supports the company’s operations and business applications. You have a demonstrated understanding of best practices in the fields of strategic technology planning and execution and can advise the senior management team on the emerging technologies that are the most relevant to the company’s goals and evolving needs. An advanced degree is preferred.
