Responsibilities:

The Configuration Manager provides the overall Configuration Management infrastructure and environment to ensure proper version management and change management. The Configuration Manager is the owner of the Design Change Notification (DCN) process and is responsible of implementing hardware and software version control policies and procedures, through the entire organization.


Duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Organize and control software and hardware configuration changes.
  • Review and recommend improvements to existing DCN process.
  • Lead the Implementation of the changes needed.
  • Identify and coordinate the daily management of configuration items.
  • Develop version control processes, policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed on hardware and software development projects.
  • Advise the company on configuration management services, procedures, and policies.
  • Review and publish configuration management reports.
  • Manage our Process Documentation system.
  • Manage and maintain our Documents Control database.

  • Experience with configuration management tools.
  • Experience implementing new processes to cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with document control management.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
  • Display initiative and creativity in overcoming obstacles and achieving goals.
  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Experience managing complex projects.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software development and manufacturing processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
  • Eight (8) years’ experience as a Configuration Manager in a manufacturing environment.
