We have a full-time position for a Copywriter & Content Marketing Specialist in Calgary

Position Summary

LodgeLink is growing and is recruiting for a newly created position of Copywriter & Content Marketing Specialist based in Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Manager, Content & Marketing, we are seeking an exceptional communicator to support brand building, customer acquisition, retention, growth and overall marketing for our company. This is an opportunity to develop most of our external and internal content focused on customer engagement. This new role is critical to the success and growth of our company.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Writes compelling and accurate headlines and content to support the customer journey, product releases, brand building and key business objectives, including web, blog, case studies, email marketing, digital advertising campaigns and landing pages, video scripts, sales materials, and other
  • Contributes to LodgeLink’s content marketing strategy and content calendar, bringing ideas, writing, and editing skills, and content best practices to amplify social and earned media results
  • Supports product marketing to improve content on our product platform, including drafting messages, educational and promotional resources on the platform
  • Works with team to improve existing website content and marketing campaigns to optimize for SEO, including keyword phrases, landing page and blog best practices
  • Develops story angles and interview questions, conducts interviews and research to proactively tell stories that resonate
  • Reviews and edits content to improve content written by others and ensure consistent, on-brand messaging and tone
  • Writes, edits, and publishes content to our employee intranet. Maintains select intranet pages
  • Contributes to our brand guidelines by creating examples of writing style / tone of voice
  • Become an expert on our customers and competitors and use insights to improve
  • Stay current on trends and technology, share insights, and apply to improve results

 

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of relevant or similar experience
  • A relevant post-secondary education, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or Journalism, or similar experience
  • A driven individual with an editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and can proactively create content that resonates
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including planning, research, interviewing, writing, editing, and producing compelling on-brand content for diverse stakeholders
  • Works independently and collaboratively. Organized and detail orientated
  • A focus on the delivery of results in the form of trust, impressions, engagement, and leads
  • Understands the basic best practices of content development, the main social media channels, which content and approaches work on each and why, is an asset
  • Knowledge of B2B workforce travel or tech industry, and how to write for SEO, a definite asset
