Position Overview:

ShyftLabs is searching for a versatile and resourceful Data Architect with 8+ years of experience. ShyftLabs is a growing data product company that was founded in early 2020 and works primarily with Fortune 500 companies. As a Data Architect at ShyftLabs, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our data architecture to support our advanced ad tech platforms. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our advertising solutions, ensuring data integrity, security, and scalability to meet the evolving needs of our business and clients.


Job Description:

Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming.

Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve data.

Manage end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and developing the application to finally testing and implementing the proposed solution.

Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.

Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.

Integrate technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security.

Monitor the system's performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.

Conduct a continuous audit of data management system performance, refine whenever required.

Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the data system.

Educate staff members through training and individual support.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

8+ Years of design and implementation experience in technology, in roles such as architect, software engineer, application engineer.

Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Infra Engineer, or similar role in the Ad Tech / Gaming / Streaming industry.

Extensive experience with database management, data processing, and design.

Expertise with popular database like Postgres, Mongo, Elastic Search, Redis.

Experience with Data modeling tools and Machine learning to build scalable systems for handling big data.

Expertise in cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and database server infrastructure.

At least three plus years of experience in a related field such as database administration, programming, managing data systems, or a similar role.

In-depth experience in real-time OLAP databases.

Deep working knowledge of data technologies such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Kafka, DBT, Airflow, Kubernetes, etc.

Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).

Excellent analytical and organizational skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

Strong understanding of advertising technology ecosystems, including DSPs, SSPs, Ad Exchanges, and DMPs.

Experience with real-time bidding (RTB) systems and programmatic advertising.

Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations affecting the advertising industry, such as GDPR and CCPA.

Strong project management skills.
