Job Description
ViewsML is seeking a talented Data Scientist with 1-2 years of experience to join our team in Vancouver. You will be responsible for utilizing advanced analytics technologies to identify trends, extract information from unstructured data, and provide automated recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence, as well as experience with statistical methodologies and programming languages.
Responsibilities
- Implement cutting-edge techniques and tools in machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence.
- Perform large-scale experimentation to uncover hidden relationships within vast datasets.
- Develop and implement advanced machine learning algorithms, including regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, and neural networks.
- Prepare and extract data using programming languages such as Python.
- Apply statistical, machine learning, or mathematical methodologies to solve specific business problems.
- Create insightful data visualizations to enable quick decision-making.
- Develop and implement artificial intelligence models and algorithms tailored to the organization's needs.
- Coordinate research and analysis activities, utilizing both structured and unstructured data.
- Clean and organize data using programming tools.
- Assess and troubleshoot application software.
- Build predictive models.
- Communicate the technical and business benefits of analytic solutions to diverse audiences.
- Develop process and network models to optimize architecture.
- Conduct biostatistical data analysis using computer modeling techniques.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Data Modeling, or Biostatistics.
- 1-2 years of experience in a data science role.
- Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Experience with statistical methodologies and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Language required: English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Jira, Microsoft Visual Studio, and MS SQL Server.
- Knowledge of bioinformatics and biomedical engineering.
- Experience with project implementation, IT service delivery, design, and quality assurance.
