Responsibilities

·        Assist in the maintenance of the MUUTAA ML environment

·        Assist in the development of DemandAMP+ and other cloud-based products

·        Track and finetune performance of existing forecasting models

·        Use Python and the vast array of AI/ML libraries to analyze data and build new statistical models to solve specific business problems. Track the performance of and maintain models once they are deployed into production.

·        Research and improve upon existing methodologies by identifying new data sources, testing model enhancements, and fine-tuning model parameters.

·        Collaborate with data engineers to design and execute replicable data acquisition and utilization processes.

·        Communicate verbally and in writing to business customers and the leadership team with various levels of technical knowledge, educating them about our systems, as well as sharing insights and recommendations, serving as source of research and statistical expertise across the company.

 

The ideal candidate should have:


·        A Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field

·        At least 2 years experience in developing predictive models using classical as well emerging machine learning methods in a structured development environment with proper code management.

·        Strong academic background and demonstrated industrial experience and/or, academic research projects or open-source project contributions.

·        Excellent understanding of AI-based forecasting and Bayesian techniques.

·        Expertise in ETL tools and programming (Python, SQL and others)

·        Familiar with ML techniques and frameworks

·        Strong background in statistics and stochastic analysis;

·        Deep understanding of forecasting techniques and Bayesian techniques.

·        Strong Full-stack programming background is preferred (Python C++, C#, Java, R, SQL and other web programming techniques- nodeJS, React, etc).

·        Familiar with frameworks such as PyMC3, Tensorflow, Prophet and others.

·        Familiar with ML techniques such as VAR, RNN, LSTM, Bayesian network, Neural network.

·        Experience in AWS cloud-based solution development.

·        Expertise in supply chain or healthcare environments are preferred but not essential.
