Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to three (3) days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement. This position can be based in any Ministry of Water, Land, and Resource Stewardship office. Currently, there is one (1) permanent opportunity available.

 

Database Analyst

$78,729.94 - $ 89,687.19 annually which includes a 6.6% Temporary Market Adjustment, plus $36.53 bi-weekly isolation allowance for Smithers; $53.13 bi-weekly Isolation allowance for Fort Nelson.

 

Natural Resource Information & Digital Services (NRIDS) is the information management/information technology (IM/IT) service provider and organizational partner to the Natural Resource Ministries (NRM).


NRIDS provides broad information management services and leadership in data custodianship by creating, maintaining and publishing foundational datasets and geospatial information. NRIDS is also responsible for the full range of services to maintain and support all existing IT systems for the NRM as well as the development of new applications to deliver on government objectives.


The database analyst provides general database administration support for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of the Natural Resource Sector’s corporate databases.


Qualifications for this role include:


  • University degree in information technology, computer science or a related degree, PLUS two (2) years of related work experience; OR
  • Technical diploma in information technology, computer science or a related degree, PLUS three (3) years of related work experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.


Related Work experience MUST include:


  • Experience with database administration.
  • Experience with Postgres and/or Oracle database administration.
