Devops Engineer

Use your knowledge of the software development workflow to build automated deployment solutions in a highly collaborative environment. Continuously improve application observability by designing monitoring and alerting tools, as well as solutions to remediate any issues that are observed. Following industry best practices build and ship features that enhance the security and compliance of our growth platform. Continually demonstrate a desire to learn, innovate and grow within the role, provide mentorship and push for the growth of DevOps as a culture within the organization.


Daily goals: 

  • Monitor systems and implement tools to reduce issues
  • Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks
  • Deploy software updates to maintain compliance and security integrity
  • Provide mentorship and training to other team members
  • Conduct code reviews and give thoughtful, actionable feedback
  • Contribute to technical discussions with clarity and empathy
  • Maintain engineering documentation
  • Analyse your constraints and escalate any blockers

  • Strong troubleshooting abilities

  • Google Cloud Platform
  • Terraform
  • CircleCI
  • BASH scripting experience
  • NodeJS
  • GraphQL


Please provide measurable KPI’s:

  • Improvement to deployment frequency and safety
  • Decrease in Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR)
  • Increase in application availability and stability
  • Reduce the change failure rate
  • Implement solutions to help reduce operational costs
  • Improvement of the overall DevOps/Engineering documentation and processes
