Digital Talent Specialist

The Digital Talent Specialist reports directly to the Director of Digital Capability and Engagement.

The responsibilities for this position include:

  • Developing and implementing digital talent management program strategies.
  • Collaborating with partners across the Government of Alberta to understand capacity requirements and work on approaches to meet those needs.
  • Developing digital talent strategies, programs and associated resources, such as content for training and coaching. 
  • Implementing talent management approaches.
  • Providing advice to senior and executive leaders and government officials. 
  • Building relationships and collaborations.
  • Supporting the unit to achieve branch goals and priorities.

Requirements:

  • A post-secondary degree in a related field, such as arts, science, education, technology, with at least four (4) years’ related experience. See below for equivalencies.
  • Experience with communication and facilitation.
  • Experience with analysis and evaluation (e.g., for policies and programs).
  • Experience with principles of change management.
  • Well-developed teamwork and collaboration skills, working with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply project management skills and principles of change management.
