Director, Workforce Development & Skills Training Technology Partner

$96,400.00 - $128,100.03 annually

 

The Technology and Business Transformation Branch within the Ministry of Post Secondary Education and Future Skills provides a range of information technology, information management and digital delivery services for the Ministry. 


As Director, Workforce Development & Skills Training Technology Partner you will manage service-based Information Management/Information Technology operations including leading major digital projects in one or more portfolios; developing solutions that meet the needs of the business; establishing strategic business relationships and managing vendors.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and/or recent, related experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience at a senior leadership level guiding large-scale, complex projects, including projects with organization-wide impact and the involvement of external stakeholders.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience managing services within an information systems branch or a technology-dependent business area.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience leading and coaching multi-disciplinary senior level professionals and/or managers in the development and implementation of complex projects. 
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in business planning, financial management and budgeting, contract management, and negotiations. 
  • Experience with current agile project management practices, ideally using open source and/or cloud platforms.
  • Experience working in agile, digital product focused development.
  • Experience leading organizational change associated with the implementation of technology.
