Hi, I'm Yao, Director of Engineering at Moves. I am looking for a Growth Engineer to join our team who will help us continue to build our product, Moves (movesfinancial.com).

  • You are someone who loves running experiments, suggesting ideas, building, deploying, and seeing the conclusion of your team's hypotheses.

What you'll do 🧐

  • Primarily work with the Growth Team to establish and evolve a technology stack that enables experimentation, in addition to scaling and optimizing mature strategies for user acquisition, engagement, and resurrection.
  • Partner with Engineering, Data, Growth, and Product Teams to drive implementation and adoption of growth technology stack.
  • Become the subject matter expert and owner of our technology stack, its trade-offs, areas to improve, and best practices in B2C mobile fintech products.

What we're looking for 😎

  • 3 years+ of experience working in a full-stack or data engineering capacity.
  • Experience working with Javascript (Typescript is a plus) and Node.js on the backend.
  • Has developed and shipped an engineering project in a team environment.
  • Having a hypothesis oriented mindset, open to visualizing projects as experiments.
  • Experience in data modelling; consciously considers the impacts of current and future data models employed/to be employed.
  • Experience working with MongoDB and SQL syntax, worked with databases in production before.
  • Experience in implementing and using third-party services into our applications and websites: Segment, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Braze, Branch.
  • Experience in talking with third party vendors and assessing the requirements in a buy vs. build scenario.
  • Understanding of basic statistics, ability to parse data into conclusions (and knowing/deferring to others, when they’re not conclusions).
  • Bachelors in Computer Science / Software Engineering is a plus
  • Hands on experience working with React Native deploying for both Android and iOS is a plus
  • Experience in GCP BigQuery and Snowflake is a plus
