Job Description
At dependbuild, we're aiming to revolutionize how infrastructure is planned, built and managed. We've developed the first platform to automate the Qualitative Risk Assessment (QRA) process for infrastructure projects- from project conception all the way to commissioning and turnover. That means less negative project outcomes and more sustainable development.
As the Head of Sales, you'll play an integral part in expanding our market presence. You'll work directly with the COO and CEO on a daily basis to refine sales processes and strategies, source leads, and execute on sales initiatives. This is a dynamic, full-time, mid level role that is anticipated to evolve and mature as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Research and Prospecting: Conduct market research to identify potential customers and target markets. Develop and implement strategies for lead generation and prospecting.
- Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with leadership to develop a comprehensive sales strategy, including setting sales targets, creating sales plans, and identifying key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through personalized engagement and effective communication.
- Sales Presentations and Demos: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, addressing their needs and highlighting the value proposition of the company's products or services.
- Sales Process Implementation: Establish and document the sales process, including lead qualification, follow-up, negotiation, and closing procedures. Continuously refine and improve the sales process based on feedback and results.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis: Track sales activities and performance metrics. Prepare regular sales reports for management, providing insights and recommendations for improving sales performance.
- Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from customers and prospects to inform product development and marketing strategies. Act as a liaison between customers and the product team.
- Networking and Partnerships: Identify and pursue opportunities for networking and partnerships that can enhance sales efforts and expand the company's reach.
Qualifications and Skills
We're looking for a self starter who's excited about the opportunity to join an early stage company and grow with it. We don't believe in the "perfect" hire... if you meet some but not all of the requirements we encourage you to apply.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada, and be a resident of one of the Atlantic provinces (NB, PEI, NS, NL).
- Must be able and willing to travel outside of the Country, as required.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of sales experience, with preference given to candidates with Enterprise or Govtech software sales experience.
- Experience at early stage companies/ startups is a bonus.
- Experience with construction, construction tech, or government services/administration is a bonus.
- Must be "sales innovation aware" and up to date with new and emerging sales enablement technologies.
Compensation and Benefits
dependbuild offers a competitive compensation package that includes:
- Remote work environment
- $75k CAD annual base salary plus sales commission
