Meridia Recruitment has partnered with Sequence Bio in pursuit of a Human Resources Director, who will join the leadership team to build an organization where human resources are a competitive advantage and who will help attract and retain a diverse and global talent pool.


As a strategic member of the organization, the Human Resources Director will champion the vision and culture for Sequence Bio’s most important asset, its people, to help them grow and reach their full potential. Reporting to the Chief Operating and Financial Officer (COFO), the Human Resources Director will provide executive-level leadership and guidance to all of Sequence Bio’s HR operations.


This exciting role will be responsible for creating and evaluating human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals for the organization. Important aspects of this position include planning, monitoring, and supporting HR activities by helping resolve employee challenges, training managers to coach and grow employees, and counseling employees and supervisors. The Human Resources Director will also research, develop, and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives and processes that establish and promote Sequence Bio as an equal opportunity employer.


We seek a candidate who has spent the more recent years of their career in a role within a dynamic and fast paced environment directly involved in developing the organization’s culture and enhancing employee engagement. You have championed talent management strategies, defined career development paths, and employer branding and visibility.


Your professional experience requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A CPHR designation and a Master’s or Law degree are considered definite assets. Coupled with 5+ years of human resources management experience that includes strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience, your superb communication skills, keen attention to detail, strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are key to success.


We seek a self driven leader with a high degree of empathy and compassion demonstrating in-depth knowledge of local and international Human Resource processes, employment legislation, and legal regulations. Being a team player able to work in a dynamic environment who can maintain professional and productive relationships with internal colleagues and external collaborators is essential.
