Instructional Designer & Training Project Manager

Your Opportunity:


Tasktop Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an Instructional Designer & Training Project Manager to join our Customer Success Team. 


This position will be primarily responsible for creating and maintaining high quality eLearning training courses in a Learning Management System. Do you excel in instructional design and understand software delivery, DevOps methods and software implementation processes? Do you have a natural ability to articulate process steps for configuring software solutions? Join the Tasktop Team as an Instructional Designer and become a key contributor in our Customer Success group that educates and enables people and organizations to transform and win in the marketplace using Tasktop products. 

 

Day to day you will:


  • Create high quality eLearning training courses and educational content in the DevOps space
  • Develop interactive exercises, software simulations, interactive videos, guided walkthroughs, lesson plans, assessments and exams to be deployed in a LMS
  • Work independently and with Engineering and Product Management team on developing training content for new or improved feature sets
  • Perform training portfolio and project management activities such as course backlog and task management, request intake and scheduling coordination, internal and external communication, etc.
  • Attend product demos and research to capture new content requirements
  • Curate existing educational material from Webinars and enablement sessions and turn into formal training material
  • Perform training administration tasks such as course scheduling, reporting and coordination
  • Assist in defining and developing knowledge management strategies for both internal and external user communities
  • Communicate across Tasktop to inform and enable stakeholders on training program changes and enhancements 

 

What we are looking for:


  • Knowledge and experience in creating eLearning courseware using Articulate 360 or similar course creation tools (with samples to validate your abilities)
  • Experience with Absorb LMS or similar LMS systems 
  • A minimum of five years of experience working for a software company, preferably in a technical role such as Technical Trainer, Technical Support, Engineering, Business Analyst, etc. (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong technical writing, editing, graphic design, video and eLearning design skills 
  • Strong process analysis, design, and documentation skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills, solid technical understanding, and the confidence to collaborate in a highly technical environment
  • Well versed in Adult Learning Principles, Educational Technology, and Instructional Design best practices
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Camtasia or similar video editing tool

  • Previous job role in IT software, instructional design and technical training
  • Some proficiency or understanding of DevOps processes
  • Project Management experience
  • Self-starter and able to deliver projects independently
  • A detail-oriented individual who has a passion to excel and exceed expectations

 

Location:


Ideally this person would be located in the Eastern Time Zone in Canada or the USA.
