We are hiring for multiple positions for Intermediate Guidewire Developers! In this role, you will develop, test, configure and implement Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, Claim center).


This role embraces agility and will be central to SGI's efforts to redefine our approach to technology. Using a cutting-edge software delivery method and a modern tech stack, the Intermediate Developers will help rebuild our core Insurance applications with Guidewire InsuranceSuite.


What you will be doing

  • Design, code, test, and debug software solutions.
  • Performs problem management investigation tasks.
  • Customize and configure Guidewire applications to meet business needs.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide mentorship to other team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest Guidewire technologies and best practices.


Requirements

  • Four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study, such as Information Technology or defined equivalency.
  • Three to Five (3 – 5) years of software development experience.
  • Experience with Guidewire configuration and integration will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Iterative, Agile).
  • Proficient knowledge and skills in writing software languages such as C++, Java, .Net, Python, JavaScript or the GOSU programming language; operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux); and cloud and server architectures.
  • Proficient knowledge of service-oriented design, including Microservices, APIs, and best practices.
  • Proficient knowledge of relational, big data and unstructured database architectures.
  • Thorough understanding of the DevOps process.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
