On behalf of our client, Careica Health, we are searching for an IT Help Desk/Network Administrator to join their dynamic team. We are looking for a passionate and driven individual who shares their purpose of helping people live their best lives.
The IT Help Desk / Network Administrator provides direct support to end-users and assists with the ongoing maintenance and upgrading of Careica’s infrastructure and IT systems. Reporting to the IT Manager, this individual may work in any of Careica’s locations across western Canada.
The IT Help Desk/Network Administrator is Responsible For:
- Working as part of Careica’s IT team to handle requests and tickets from end users for various computing issues.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance via phone, email, or in-person to resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
- Co-managing IT infrastructure health in collaboration with the current Help Desk/Network Administrators.
- Administering and maintaining user accounts, permissions, and access rights within network systems and applications.
- Working with third parties to order equipment and supplies, request support, and organize licensing.
- Assisting with budgeting and planning by providing direction on where Careica’s IT infrastructure should be heading.
You and Your Experience:
- Diploma or Certificate in Network Administration (or related designation).
- 5+ years of experience working in a similar capacity.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
- Strong verbal and written skills required.
- Ability to translate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Experience with virtualization (VMWare an asset).
- Experience with networking and firewalls (Sophos firewall experience an asset).
- Experience with VOIP and IP telephony an asset.
- Experience in managing projects an asset.
