Lead Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Backend Engineer who is highly knowledgeable of Ruby on Rails and proficient in writing code and developing architectures.

Must have

MongoDB
PostgreSQL
Node
APIs
Ruby on Rails

Nice to have

Lead team members to plan and implement technical solutions as well as solving challenges.

Must have skills

Experienced in developing backend applications with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in designing and scaling web API’s and other backend services
Able to quickly adapt when exposed to unfamiliar technical patterns or languages
Expertise in Ruby, NodeJS, and other server-side programming languages
Able to identify a technical issue before it arises and can quickly execute a plan to solve it
Proficient in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and other types of data-stores
Able to optimize and design data models
Knowledge and experience in Ruby on Rails, Express or other web frameworks
Aware of new backend trends, methodologies and practices
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have skills

Skilled in building browser extensions or user scripts
Expertise in deep third-party API integrations (e.g. GitHub)
