  • Motivate the team; communicate priorities and relative urgency within teams and get them excited to achieve the next win
  • Ensure day-to-day transparency where all parties understand what’s happening and have well-managed expectations
  • Hold both individuals and teams accountable and responsible, ensuring they understand expectations in their role, and have what they need to succeed
  • Any and all management, coordination, facilitation or leadership responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Engineering

  • Hands-on managers who don’t mind rolling up their sleeves and chipping in or sitting with the team to ensure we’re doing the right work
  • Organized planners with high attention to detail; ability to write down a plan, break up tasks, and hold a team accountable
  • Company-builders who will get involved in recruiting, training and onboarding talent, and who believe they can grow entry-level hires into valuable contributors
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada and willing to relocate to Calgary

What will help you succeed:

  • 3+ years of experience managing QA or software development teams or in a similar field
  • Experience with startup organizations or winning companies in the tech industry; B2C tech product experience is a huge asset
  • Experience scaling a team including being involved in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and more
  • Strong understanding of agile, continuous delivery, kanban, and modern development methodologies
