Position Summary 


Microserve is looking for an Order Management Team Lead to join our remote team. The successful candidate must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment and must be able to direct a team of Order Desk Clerks.  If you have proven skills around managing high volumes of work through a team, a demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives to meet deadlines, you will be successful in this role.  


The Order Management Team Lead provides leadership and supervision to a team charged with accepting, monitoring, and fulfillment of inbound orders supporting various clients in our business. The Team Lead will review contract related inventory levels and contribute to help maintain appropriate levels of inventory by processing customer provided forecasts.  They will also be accountable to produce transactional, inventory, and asset reporting as required for clients supported by the Order Management Team. 


 

Responsibilities   


  • Oversee ETA, RMA and inventory management  
  • Support internal stakeholders in determining, refining and establishing service business outcomes and requirements for procurement purposes.  
  • Liaise with stakeholders to identify the business and technology requirements to be included in competitive bid processes.  
  • Create a detailed work plan identifying internal and external resource requirements and timelines.  
  • Facilitate, lead, and support all supplier relationships, and conduct supplier capability assessments in cooperation with Quality Assurance  
  • Ensure due diligence and contract negotiations with the preferred proponents.  
  • Keep abreast of developments in the area of best practices as well as new/needed skills, processes, or methods.  
  • Hands-on experience with shipping, logistics, distribution, receipt management, vendor performance appraisal, and vendor return systems.  

 


Qualifications and Education Requirements  


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing management in an IT Environment. 
  • Experience developing procurement documentation such as competitive and non-competitive bid documentation and contracts; and issuing, evaluating and awarding contracts.  
  • Demonstrable understanding of procurement best practices, contract negotiations and contract law is preferred.  
  • PMAC certification or equivalent experience and education.  
  • Direct work experience in a supply chain management or forecasting position.  
  • Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.  
  • Direct knowledge of business continuity strategies as it relates to the supply chain.
