Product Owner

Hosting Services is a branch of the OCIO Enterprise Services Division and provides hosting infrastructure to core government and over 15 Broader Public Sector (BPS) organizations. Hosting Services is responsible for the development of common IT services and management strategies that enhance the client’s ability to meet their unique business needs. The services are delivered through a multiyear outsourced service contract with a private sector vendor with an annual value of over $80 million. 

 

The Product Owner is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary agile delivery team to develop a new major digital product or service and/or extensive iterations to significant existing products and/or services.

Qualifications for this role include:

 

  • A degree in Information Technology and/or Information Management discipline or Project Management, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • At least one year demonstrated agile experience managing complex enterprise IM/IT projects with multiple interdependencies including major business transformations, strategic communications and the oversight of system integrators.
  • Experience with the delivery of digital products or service; successful design, delivery and ongoing management of high-quality services which maximized opportunities offered by digital technology.
  • Experience leading, using and promoting the agile principles.
  • Experience of working in an agile, digital product- focused development environment with User experience teams, designers and developers to iteratively create and improve products and services.
  • Expertise in analyzing and using customer insight and user and performance data to design and continually improve services to fully meet user needs in a convenient and straightforward way.
  • Experience in leading teams
