The opportunity

With a commitment to launching their Canadian operations before year-end, our client is looking for a Project Manager. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain and Program Delivery, you will prioritize quality and oversee a highly visible project in a pragmatic and cost effective way. The result of your work will mirror the brand's reputation and set them up for success.

What you will do

  • Lead. You will be accountable for end-to-end delivery of projects, with the specified level of quality for the project sponsor, on time and within budget and scope. You will develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, identify critical paths, integrated milestones and ensure feasibility with Go/No-go decision points. You will use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Ensure transparent communication. You will prepare and deliver status reports and Executive Level presentations; draft clear communications related to sensitive issues; facilitate workshops and handle complex questions from varied audiences. You will create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Foster positive relationships. You will build and nurture partnerships with stakeholders, management, co-workers, and team members, resolving conflict and providing guidance.
  • Control risk. You will conduct formal risk management sessions, and document and manage risk management plans. You will escalate issues promptly and provide solutions to variances in scope, time or budget. 
  • Allocate resources. You will determine resource availability and coordinate allocating people to projects and tasks to people. You will coordinate the work of internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Evaluate. You will measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.

  • Project experience. Whether you have end-to-end experience managing medium to large complex projects, you take ownership of your projects, meeting expectations and achieving results. You think creatively and have an analytical approach to prioritizing competing projects, problem-solving, and task management. You can seamlessly adapt to changes in timelines, the business, or the industry. You have the confidence to take new ideas forward and the big picture vision to understand when the process works.
  • Determination. You have strong business acumen, exceptional attention to detail and accuracy and hold yourself to high standards of accountability. You work with a sense of urgency, managing risks and navigating barriers, taking on multiple roles to ensure deadlines are met and expectations are exceeded. 
  • Growth mindset. You are open to new ideas and processes and motivated to take on new challenges. You are familiar with different project methodologies and highly proficient with Excel and project management software. You can quickly learn new systems and processes and share your knowledge with your team.

You work collaboratively and respectfully as part of a team and lead with humility and by example. You listen and act with thoughtfulness, managing conflict and providing guidance and coaching.
