Responsibilities:

The SAP Functional Analyst is the primary liaison between the respective functional areas and the Information Technology and systems departments. This role is the main conduit that translates business processes/requirements into system functionality.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports functional areas by analyzing business needs, documenting requirements, and proposing, designing and implementing solutions often of a very complex nature.
  • Design non-standard solutions to accommodate requirements that aren’t addressed by standard SAP functionality.
  • Documents, and provides training to all functional areas involved with SAP.
  • Serves as an advisor proactively proposing system changes and innovations to improve efficiencies, increase customer satisfaction or drive cost savings.
  • Responsible for the day to day support of the functional areas supported
  • Participate in projects, typically in a lead role. These projects run the gamut from enhancing existing functionality, implementing new functionality, to full-blown implementations.
  • While this position has no direct reports, it is likely that they will be called upon to promote change management actions throughout all processes.

 

Main skills required:

  • In depth functional and configuration expertise in SAP.
  • In depth knowledge of the following modules: Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM) and SAP Warehouse Management (WM), Financial modules – Required.
  • This person must have a strong understanding of the various integration points between the SAP module(s) they are supporting and the various other SAP modules.
  • Strong analytical and consulting skills.


Experience required:

  • 5+ years of IT related experience with specified SAP module
  • Participated in two or more full life cycle SAP implementations.
