Other Ocean Group is searching for their next Senior Developer to help them break new ground.

 

We are established and respected. Founded in 2006, Other Ocean Group has developed for many of the World’s most revered franchises including Minecraft, Rick and Morty, and Street Fighter. In recent years Other Ocean’s Canadian studios have focused more on developing our own Original IP enjoying International success with the hit multiplayer title Project Winter. Currently Project Winter has 2.5 million players and Other Ocean is looking to expand its team to capitalize on this success. Exciting new development has begun on other Original IP and investment partnerships  have been formed strategically positioning the company for continued success.

 

You can be part of leading global game development but at the same time working for an established and mature indie company that offers opportunity to be a part of a team that develops and creates its own projects. We are excited by what innovation and new technology can bring to gaming and are proud to have worked on some exciting releases. Some notable accomplishments: 

·       Being one of the first game developers for iPhone in 2007

·       Being one of the first game developers for iPad

·       Releasing one of the first Apple Watch products

·       Gaming with motion controls with MYO armband

·       Releasing a launch title for Oculus Rift touch controllers

 

What we expect:

·       Ideally, an experienced professional developer with at least 5 years of industry experience.

·       A B.Sc. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience is preferred.

·       All applicants should have experience in the following areas of game development:

o  C# Programming

  • Unity3D
  • 3D Mathematics

o  Gameplay, Networking, UI, AI, or Graphics Programming

The best way for us to learn about you is to see what you can do, so all applicants should be able to demonstrate their programming skills.

 

Bonus Points:

We’re really interested in applicants that have knowledge of at least one of the following:

●      C++ Programming

●      Server/Backend Development

●      Web Development

●      Cloud Services (Azure, AWS, GCP)

●      Console development

●      Tool development

●      Audio Programming

●      Physics Programming

●      Plugin or scripting development with either 3D Studio Max or Maya

●      An interpreted programming language (Ruby, Python, Perl, etc.)

 

What you can expect:

Salary: $95,000 - $115,000/yr.
