As a Senior Front-end Developer, you will be working with a talented group of developers to build applications that will create an amazing experience for our customers and associates.
We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative and social purposes.
Make a difference on our Technology team as a Senior Front-End Developer.
What you’ll do as a Senior Front-End Developer:
- Approach challenges and projects with a flexible, team-first mindset and will actively collaborate with other teams in the department.
- Work in our Agile environment, where you will have plenty of opportunities to develop, test, debug, and demonstrate your work before it is published live.
- Be engaged in taking initiatives in proposing and implementing an application enhancement to account for a business challenge.
- Strengthen your leadership skills by giving technical direction to peers
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years of experience with design and development of front-end applications demonstrating proficiency in building web applications with React
- You have acted as a mentor to junior developers and set examples of technical leadership for your team
- Lead the design & development of key e-commerce technology initiatives
- Working directly with engineers, product owners, and others within a scrum team
- Demonstrate proficiency in every aspect of software development life cycle and proven capabilities in software development best practices including use of design patterns, code review and unit testing
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer, Science, Electrical, Engineering, or related discipline/experience
