Who we need

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our newly established team. You will design, develop, implement, and continuously iterate exciting new home management products and features to meet the needs of an untapped market: homeowners seeking to optimize the enjoyment of their biggest investment. You will be the first Developer on the product, working across the stack and SDLC to build a resilient and modern platform for our customers. You will have the opportunity to research and use tools and solutions required to bring value, efficiency, and customer engagement.

You will:

Develop. You will play a mission-critical role in leading the design, development, and deployment of a consumer-facing SaaS web application using modern JavaScript frameworks. You will work cross-functionally to assess and define software requirements, translating the specification code and prototypes. You will define the application architecture, lead front-end and back-end development, test and troubleshoot, package for beta and product releases and configure and administer AWS infrastructure.
Set the standards. You will introduce and follow best practices, establish new processes as required to maintain high-quality code, and drive efficiencies from architecture to deployment. You will set standards, work cross-functionally, and move towards mentoring a team as we grow.

You have:

The technical expertise. You have extensive experience developing a wide range of production web applications using NodeJS, Express, REST, Redis, PostgreSQL, ReactJS, modularization, packaging, testing and deployment. You have experience with AWS cloud computing, including EC2, RDS, SES, and SNS. You’re up to date with best practices and tooling from the JavaScript community.
The interpersonal skills. You have flexible communication skills and a collaborative approach. You can translate complex technical information for a non-technical audience. You can nurture trusting relationships, influence decision-making, navigate conflict, and work across any group or level. You have a respect for the diverse experiences and opinions of others.
The drive. You think strategically, solve problems creatively, and determine the best approach for quality, resilient, and scalable coding. You are an enthusiastic and self-motivated continuous learner. You conduct and apply research, stay on top of trends, and seek opportunities to grow your skills.
