Senior Infrastructure Specialist
$72,724.97 - $83,014.85 annually plus 9.9% Temporary Market Adjustment
There is currently one (1) permanent and one 18 months temporary opportunity available.
The temporary appointment may be extended or may become permanent.
These positions are currently based in Victoria. We offer flexible work arrangements, including the opportunity to volunteer to telework (with conditions) as set out in applicable employer policies.
Note that this type of telework arrangement would require the successful candidate to attend the office in Victoria as required.

The Information Systems Branch (ISB) provides IM/IT planning, architecture, project support, application development, information security, technology and information support services to the Ministry of Attorney General and Public Safety and Solicitor General (Justice Sector).
The Infrastructure Specialist provides analysis, development, administration, and operational support of complex multi-tier applications. The position is responsible for identifying and implementing modern infrastructure technologies within a portfolio of existing custom and commercial off the shelf applications. They will work as a member of an internal operations team, supporting development and agile teams to ensure infrastructure and applications are resilient and performant through implementing automation and software defined technologies.
Qualifications for this role include:
- Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in computer science, technology or a related field OR;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 2 years experience with UNIX/Linux or container-based hosting environments. Preference given to experience with container-based technologies and/or software defined networking.
- Minimum 4 months experience with providing guidance and implementing infrastructure solutions to reduce the workload by automation.
- Minimum 4 months experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery and continuous deployment principles.
