Contract Terms: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

THE JOB

 

The iOS Engineer will own our iOS mobile app! You’ll join a team using the latest mobile technologies to support a platform for both event organizers and event goers. You’ll build & support responsive apps, work on cutting edge features and launch industry changing innovations. The right candidate will participate in design reviews, work closely with product & other non-technical staff, write test plans/cases, create automated tests and work with engineers and architects to create our next generation apps. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

 

  • Develop mobile UI/UX using provided art assets
  • Research and deploy advanced algorithms and programming techniques
  • Evaluate and deploy mobile hardware features to provide unique user experiences
  • Employ detailed analytics and monitoring, provide critical AB testing
  • Ensure Apple submission guidelines are met, and preempt potential points of failure
  • Creative debugging and development techniques to resolve unusual/unexpected problems
  • Use sound judgement to make scheduling/development decisions when necessary
  • Integrate and manage various 3rd party APIs
  • Use source-control repository containing all source assets
  • Produce and maintain detailed documentation
  • Efficiently communicate with product & engineering leaders: Write reports and progress updates

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

 

  • 2+ years of experience as a Senior Engineer or deep understanding of and experience with development on mobile platforms
  • Must have successfully launched mobile products to production and have experience with high visibility applications with a broad user base
  • 5+ years of professional hands-on software development experience using Objective-C and Swift, and with open-source technologies
  • Experience with high-volume transactional systems, public facing APIs, search infrastructure and integrating with APIs
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Must possess a sound understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and asynchronous message-based concepts
  • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented methodologies, UML design techniques, event driven architectures, and other design patterns
  • Familiarity with open-source libraries/frameworks
  • Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral), with experience producing technical and design documentation
  • Strong software development process background using Agile methodologies
  • Experience with an open-source development environment using tools such as Maven, Jenkins and Git is a plus
