Senior Software / Database Engineer

The opportunity:
- Key contributor to a new category defining product
- Build a product that enables business leaders to make better decisions
- Work on a product with cutting edge technical stacks, such as Kubernetes, Event Stream Processing and Data Visualization
- Full stack experience from front-end UI technologies to back-end data processing and modelling.
- Grow and guide fellow teammates in a culture of openness and collaboration
Who You Are:
- Experience building large-scale cloud data platforms with microservices.
- Proficiency in Java and/or Scala
- In-depth knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL). Experience building complex logic and optimizing database performance and configuration
- Passionate about designing technical data processing solutions to make cutting-edge intelligent products
- A self starter with the ability to work effectively in teams with excellent spoken / written communication
- Smart, humble, and empathetic
- Have a strong sense of teamwork and put the team’s and company’s interests first
- Driven and excited about the challenges of a fast-paced, innovative software startup-like environment
What gives you an edge:
- Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Hive etc.
- Experience working closely with Data Scientists to move machine learning solutions into production.
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience working with AWS services and environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Equivalent
