SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

**This position can work Remotely in Canada**


The Senior Software Developer is responsible for quality, integrity, scalability, resiliency, and overall technical performance of the products and services developed within the product portfolio.

 

What will you work on?

You will build and maintain high quality code in a Microsoft .NET environment, provide support during testing cycles and post-production deployment, and engage in peer code reviews. You will assume a technical leadership position for development projects and share knowledge and experience with other members of the development team.

 

How will you create impact?

Working in a matrixed scrum team environment of Developers, Product Owners, and Quality Assurance Analysts both internally and externally, you will ensure that the overall technical solution meets business needs and aligns with GoodLife’s technology strategies.

You will also act as an advisor or coach to junior developers, providing mentorship and leadership to the development team and motivating team members with a positive energy and influential attitude.

Who are we looking for?

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines with 8+ years of experience in software development and a minimum of 5 years experience in web-based development of .NET and OO applications. You also have significant experience in a DevOps environment and are able to drive solutions in containerization and CI/CD.

You are skilled in many technologies such as Azure, .NET Core, C#, Java, SQL Server databases, REST, and/or SQL program languages and have a deep understanding of API development & design, information architectures and microservices.

You also have strong people skills and consider yourself to be a dynamic team player. You have excellent oral and written communication skills along with effective organizational and time management capabilities.
