Senior Telecom Analyst

$72,724.97 - $83,014.85 annually plus 9.9% Temporary Market Adjustment

In addition, the ministry manages the Province's real estate assets, technology systems and equipment, and leverages procurement to increase business opportunities and create rewarding jobs that contribute to local economies and benefit individuals, families, and communities.


As the Senior Telecom Analyst, you will be responsible for participating in the development and delivery of the vision, strategy, and roadmaps for Network BC’s portfolio of connectivity programs to realize rural and indigenous community high-speed internet needs. The role will be instrumental to achieve the ministry mandate and business priorities, as well as how specific technologies will impact the broader telecommunications services lifecycle, ensuring maximum business value and cost-effectiveness to provincial funding programs and to overall connectivity goals. You will be working with stakeholders, including cross-ministry partners, business and technical subject matter and industry experts, vendors and product representatives. You will also be working to ensure the successful realization of a technology portfolio roadmap to achieve the longer-term connectivity mandate for the province.


Qualifications for this role include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field and a minimum two (2) years’ *relevant experience; OR,
  • Post-secondary diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field and a minimum three (3) years’ *relevant experience.

*Relevant experience must include ALL of the following:

  • Experience in the role of telecommunications network architect or telecommunications service delivery.
  • Experience working in a program service delivery role.
  • Experience providing technical advice to technical and non-technical work teams.
