Who we need


Reporting to the Manager, Software Development, we are looking for Software Developers to join our lab environment for a 12-month contract.

If you are passionate about expanding your skills in mechatronics, this is the opportunity to consider.You will contribute to the Raiden Project, working with a cross-functional group on hardware and across products, including the latest technology for our new IMAX camera lasers.You will create and implement solutions to meet customer requirements and special requests. You will participate in the end to end process from research and development to code reviews, testing, and documentation.  

Raiden is the next generation of the IMAX flagship projection system. The cutting edge laser and image processing technology means the new projector will be able to light up the largest IMAX screen in the world with a balance of warmth and sharpness to create clarity, detail and size that make IMAX more than a movie.

What you bring:

  • The education and experience. You have a degree in Mechatronics, Computer or Electronic Engineering or another related field. You have software engineering and software design experience in Agile and Waterfall environments, taking an OOD approach.
  • The technical skills. You have professional experience with C# and C++ programming using the .NET framework and with relational databases. You have worked on the hardware side of technology, gaining exposure to network programming, TCP/UDP, sockets, FTP, Web Service and SNMP.
  • The growth mindset. You have and R&D mindset and can quickly learn new tools, technologies, and processes. You have an interest in image processing and pattern recognition using tools such as Matlab/OpenCV.
  • The interpersonal skills. You are a collaborator who can work with cross-functional teams. You have effective and flexible communication skills.
