We're looking for a lead developer to join the team and take our projects to the next level. We use, and love, Ruby on Rails and believe in doing things the "Rails way". We also take great pride in delivering a developer experience that is second to none.
In your role you will manage the technology strategy for the team, identify key activities to stay ahead of the curve and selectively lead experiments to grow our capabilities. You will also be responsible for the definition and operation of the development workflow. There is a great deal of freedom to make the team your own.

Compensation:
- The base salary range for this role is: $95k-150k based on experience
- This role is eligible for up to 10% performance bonus
Responsibilities:
- Lead developer for a team of seven
- Evaluate and implement changes to improve our development workflow
- Drive code quality through code reviews, pair programming, architecture and coding practices
- Develop features across the entire stack and runtime environment
- Establish a strategy to keep tech debt at bay (and pay back some existing debt)
- Interface directly with the client on a daily basis
- Mentor junior developers
You have:
- 3+ years experience as a senior developer
- 2+ years experience working in a modern DevOps environment
- 2+ years experience working with a container based cloud production environment
- Experience with a least 2 of: Ruby on Rails, Django, Symfony, Laravel
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Team player that loves to win
- A willingness to undergo a Government of Canada security screening
- Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident status
