Role Summary 

We are looking for an experienced Partnership Manager to join our growing Operations team. This position will be responsible to build, support, maintain and develop relationships with partners, clients, and vendors to aid in our revenue goals and to ensure success between Athennian and all its partners.


Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a Partnership Management or Business Development role, including contracting best practices and revenue share modeling
  • Experience managing technology integrations (i.e. SaaS APIs) and product-related partnerships
  • Proactive and strategic, solutions first approach
  • Proven ability to advocate for internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Curiosity and empathy to help partners, customers, and teammates


In this role, at 3 months, you will have:

  • Become an expert in Athennian’s market position and product offering
  • Begin to act as main point of contact for existing partnership relationships
  • Generate new partnerships opportunities through new business development and lead generation
  • Establish exceptional communication with all internal teams
  • Align with several internal stakeholders, including but not limited to executives, product managers and go-to-market teams
  • Close partnership agreements while properly balancing company goals, speed and economic potential


In this role, at 6 months, you will have:

  • Act as single point of contact for communications between partner organizations and the cross-functional partner team
  • Take primary responsibility for the strategy and execution of new partnerships 
  • Gain an understanding of Athennian’s customers, their pains, and how technology and service integrations can solve them
  • Evaluate the financial and non-financial benefits and risks of new partnerships 
  • Identify relevant organizations who are strategically well-positioned to accelerate growth into new markets 


In this role, at 12 months, you will have:

  • Analyze the success of joint go-to-market projects and campaigns designed to generate leads and revenue
  • Track report and optimize the performance of partnerships, including identifying issues as they arise, assessing possible solutions and executing them
  • Develop and execute strategic department objectives tied to key results

 

Nice to have experience

  • Experience working within a B2B SaaS/technology environment
  • Experience working in hybrid technical/business roles is a plus: technology partnerships, solutions engineering, developer tools sales, product, consulting, ops, or project management
