UNIX Analyst

Remote (Alberta, Canada) Edmonton, AB

Role:

As the UNIX Analyst, you will be an integral role in the development, implementation, and administration of information technology (IT) projects or operational work. You will use your diverse IT expertise and experience with the Unix family of operating systems to develop and support hosting solutions for ministry line of business applications and to operate independently on assigned work. You will receive broad guidance on overall scope of work and assistance on more complex situations. In some instances, the position may be responsible for overseeing the work of a junior position.

 

Requirements:

  • University graduation in Computer Sciences or a related field. 
  • 2 years of related Red Hat Linux Systems experience. 


Equivalencies:  Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 

  • A related two-year diploma in computer technology or a related discipline from a recognized postsecondary institution and four years of related experience. 
  • Or a related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and five years of related experience.
