Water Quality / Biology Software Consultant Position

Primary markets for KISTERS software include groundwater and surface water management, meteorology, flood warning, dam & reservoir operations, water quality/chemistry, biology/ecology, urban drainage / stormwater management, and water utilities.


As a KISTERS Water Quality consultant, the successful candidate will be responsible for scoping, specifications, implementation, installation, training and post project follow-up of hydrological and environmental data management systems (DMS) across North America.


Responsibilities:

The daily work schedule will consist of implementing and supporting KISTERS software solutions for customers in North America. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Working with project managers and existing customers to support and expand their systems.
  • Help design new water quality and biological monitoring data management systems.
  • Deliver customer and end user training.
  • Travel to customer locations or company training events
  • Participate in the preparation of requests for proposals (RFP), information (RFI), etc.


Qualifications:

  • Required 1-4 years water quality and biological sampling experience.
  • Minimum 4-year degree in one of the following disciplines:
  • (Civil) Engineering, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Geography, Biology or Environmental Sciences.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS.
  • Above average technology and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, database platforms (MS SQL, Oracle, Access).
